Congratulations to our Contest Winners!

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our Are You Really With Coco contest this past weekend. 5 winners were chosen at random to receive a mini Coco billboard.  I am happy to announce the winners here:

  • Jenny Watson, St. Louis, MO
  • Margaret Bish, Clinton, UT
  • Ellen Hackel Schmitz, Minneapolis, MN
  • Diana Lourdes Santiago, Puerto Rico
  • Allison West

We also decided that we love our Coco fans too much to let the contest stop.  So, we decided to award 2 additional mini Coco billboards to the fans who gave us their photos with lagniappe:

  • Justin LeGrand, Greensboro, NC
  • Greg Hanna, Warr Acres, OK

Ok, the minis are in your hands now.  Hug them, squeeze them, love them; but, whatever you do, don’t get them wet, don’t expose them to bright light, and DO NOT feed them after midnight!

Keep it real, keep it with Coco.
Love,

-Lamar

Are You Really With Coco?

Alright, all of you who claim to be die hard Coco fans, now is the time to prooooove it! Lamar is hosting a contest and the winners will always have a little Coco with them. Literally.

We plan to raffle off 5 of these oh-so-cute, yet extremely ginger and masculine , miniature replicas of our current Coco billboards so pay attention:

  1. Become our fan of Facebook: www.facebook.com/LamarAdvertising
  2. Post a picture of one of our Coco digital billboards live on the street.
  3. Anxiously wait to for Monday to see if your name has been picked to receive one of these tiny gems.

Now’s your chance to be with Coco all the time! Perch him on your desk to grant you a chuckle during stressful work hours. Set him on the table during that first date to spark interesting dinner conversation. Keep him on the nightstand to watch over you as you slumber. The possibilities are endless!

Contest ends Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at MIDNIGHT, PST. The 5 winners will be randomly selected from the entries and the winners will be announced on this site on Monday, April 19th, 2010. Lamar Advertising Company employees are not eligible to enter.

Tales From the Coif

On a day that will not be forgotten, Conan O’Brien has found a job.  As his fans rejoice and their children return from a long stay at their grandparents’, we should all remember that watching Coco is a privilege, not a right: much like driving or smelling people on the elevator.

We at Lamar will finish posting Conan’s tweets soon as, sadly, he no longer needs us… but we won’t forget.  We won’t forget what we had or what we lost.  We won’t forget that things may not have ended so well or that Patty in accounting pushed some of us down the stairs the day Conan was cancelled… But most of all we won’t forget the smiles, the laughs, and standing tall over the roads of this amazing country and proudly proclaiming, “Lamar is with Coco.”

A Place for Conan

Conan has lost his home and his rightful place on millions of screens across the nation.

His audience is also lost.  Some are picking up the pieces of their lives, but many can’t.  Some are too young to know this isn’t their fault: that they’ve done nothing wrong.  So, until this talented, brilliant, voluptuously coiffed man has his show back, we shall offer him our screens.

His tweets will be displayed 22 feet wide on thousands of digital displays across this great land in the noble hope of putting a little Conan back in all of our lives.  Lamar is with Coco.
